reflections for encouragement

Some weeks the world looks at my schedule and agrees to comply. This was not one of those weeks. Life and the world conspired to break me down and crush me under their weight. It would have been an easy thing to do – just lie down and be crushed. I made the choice to not slow down because a moving target is MUCH harder to hit.

I missed sharing my adventures around the internet from last week because of the storms of life. Having the chance to sum up all the words that have been created over the week helps me to keep them close to my own heart.

Word Adventures

My own posts should have been the warning sign that storm clouds were approaching. I had the chance to guest post over at The Great Blog Adventurers. It all started with the comment “if you want something to happen your life then you can’t sit around and wait for it to come to you.” It was a call to action with my own tips to help make anything happen now.

Over at the Peculiar Club, the topic of distractions reared its ugly head. No Dividing Attentions was a reminder that we are each limited in the resources received so it is a good idea to know how those resources should be invested.

I needed both of these posts this week. The juggling act of handling the unexpected and maintaining the status quo can be exhausting. I confess that I may have dropped a ball or two, but nothing was broken or lost so it will be okay.

I shared a little of my heart in my column at The Lakeside Post. Making a Path to Survival does not tell you what the storms are that I am facing, but it does share how I am managing to get through them.

The internet had made it tough to find the balance between personal and business. I try to keep my posts on social media relevant to my professional side. This week I did post about my mother, who died in her sleep on Saturday morning (March 17th). The words of encouragement and comfort inspired me to write about the Legacy of a Mom over at the Peculiar Club.

Life does not make it easy, so refuse to make it easy for circumstances and the world! Keep PUSHing and DARE to be more than expected. An EXTRAordinary you awaits if you are bold enough to pursue that end with consistent persistence!
