Sharing on the Way to Writing Success

My delight comes from seeing my words sprout up around the internet like the blossoms of spring. Each time someone shares a link on Facebook I smile. A retweet on Twitter makes me giggle (because I get to say I was retweeted and it sounds funny). Seeing a post take off can be one of the best moments of my week. So I thank all of you that have shared, retweeted and reposted because you made my day a little brighter and filled my heart with all types of blooms. A few weeks ago I shared some information that I received during a #blogchat – a chat group held in Twitter. The tips were from bloggers to bloggers and that post was picked up by Readers Realm this week. Two different online magazines picked it up from Readers Realm. Christian Indie Authors and Blob Chatter Daily also tweeted the links. …Continue reading

Some weeks the world looks at my schedule and agrees to comply. This was not one of those weeks. Life and the world conspired to break me down and crush me under their weight. It would have been an easy thing to do – just lie down and be crushed. I made the choice to not slow down because a moving target is MUCH harder to hit. I missed sharing my adventures around the internet …Continue reading

Continue to PUSH to Reach Success

Keep moving. That one piece of advice will not only help to keep you from getting stuck in the mud in Alabama, but it will also help to keep you from getting stuck in life. This week for me was all about the persistence to keep moving. There were challenges, but I would be deluded to think that life will ever leave me without challenges. I have to find a way around, or over or …Continue reading

Getting to my destination requires that I continue to move forward. It also calls for me to watch where I am going. Every now and then I have to take a moment to reflect on where I have been. Driving to my success takes daily efforts (even on those days when I would prefer to curl back up in bed and hide). This week my reflection took me over to Facebook where I reworked my …Continue reading

Either open the door or I am going to kick it down, but I have determined I am going through! My past few weeks have been focused on finding the secrets to writing and speaking success. I discovered that most of the tips are things that I know, and some that I already do. That tells me that if I am not climbing to the success I desire then maybe I am not using …Continue reading

Trying to Stay Focused in the Chaos Last week we stayed busy with my birthday, my brother and his family in town visiting and the regular activities that keep us hoping. I think there may have been one day when the house was not filled with company for 10 hours – but the rest of the busy days have made that one day blurry. Things can get easily sidetracked when focus goes to another issue. …Continue reading

My New Year pushed me to give my personal writing all of my focus. That meant stepping away from most of my clients and putting all of my energy into books, novels and blogs. I discovered that I am even more adept at procrastination than I ever imagined possible, but I am working on new habits that will help me break that tendency. I joined the wonderful writers over at The Great Blog Adventure this …Continue reading

From Surviving to Thriving – Finding Purpose in 2012

I had enough just surviving and determined it was the year for thriving. I would find my purpose and pursue it with boldness. 2011 slapped me around a little bit – first the tornadoes in April, then the new “accommodations” while we recovered from the tornadoes, then my mom getting sick and going in to Hospice right in the middle of the holidays. I could still feel some movement, but not enough to make anyone …Continue reading
